About Us!
Sugarcane and Shepherd Desserts is a small bakery business. Charlotte, (me) has a bachelor's degree in Baking and Pastry Arts from the Culinary Institute of America. Our name is an homage to my service dog, German Shepherd, Raviolee who is my source of inspiration. I have lived in Asheville for over 8 years (as of June 2024). I worked at Biltmore briefly however, after a tragic death in the family, and some recurring health problems on my part, I left my position. I started professionally at 16 interning for a catering company, then I completed an externship for the Grand Geneva (a four diamond resort) in Wisconsin as part of my training at CIA. My passion has been present for over twenty years and I am so excited to finally be able to bake for myself and clients I develop a relationship with. I can bake almost anything, although we do not do fondant or sculpted cakes. We currently ship many of our products nationwide! Visit our Shopify site (link below) to place a shipping order! We have opened a brick and mortar bakery! We are located at 5585 Hendersonville Road in Fletcher, NC 28732. We are next to Subway and across from Smiley's flea market. Our hours are Tuesday 11 am to 5pm, Wednesday- Saturday 11 am to 7 pm and Sunday from 11 am to 6 pm
